First Thoughts

I have retired after 36 years in the car business as a manufacturer's field rep. Unfortunately I have a nerve problem in my back that prevents me from traveling, or most of the other things retirees do. Since I cannot sit for any length of time without considerable "discomfort" I have to find activities than can be done standing or laying down. Sleep is good; but one cannot sleep all the time. I will be toying with voice recognition software one of these days to see if I can get text into my laptop while reclining. I also want to write (hence the voice recognition thing). What I post will be eclectic because I have interest in the world around me, not just what I know and do (or have done). My inability to travel productively has put a real damper on my post-retirement plans, but has not lessened my interest. This blog business is experimental and I am excited about the possibilities
